Taken from a book Civil and Military Costumes of the French Monarchy from 1200 to 1820 edited by Hippolyte LeComte. Illustrated representations of Philippe Le Bon (1396 - 1467), 3rd Duke of Burgundy of the House of Valois and the costume of judges at the end of the reign of Charles V which was quite short (1364-1380) i.e. around 1375. Charles V said the Sage reigned towards the end of the Middle Ages.
