Bistro spittoon in olive green enameled cast iron early 20th century

An object of curiosity, it can be used as a pocket, ashtray or soap dish. Present in bars, it was often filled with sawdust or sand and was intended to receive quid from customers when they consumed chewing tobacco (and not smoking).

It is in perfect condition with the exception of missing enamel due to its great age and past use.
