It comes from a stay in the Cappadocia region and was most certainly made near the Soganli valley. This doll also bears the name Bez Bebelker. Turkish women make them from scraps of fabric and a wooden frame.
Adorned with sequins, silver leaves, brightly colored pompoms and various fabrics, the figure is made up. Please note that one of the colored patterns on the bottom of the skirt has faded, as shown in the photos.
